A Companion to Wolves - Sarah Monette, Elizabeth Bear I wanted something different and gritty to read. This satisfied both of those criteria.

The biggest issue I had with the book was pronouncing all the words and names. There were too many characters introduced quickly with names that were almost impossible for me to pronounce and remember.

As to the dub-con. I don't get why people are going on about it. It may not have been enjoyable for him but he absolutely did consent, even saying that his wolf was worth it many times.

I rec. this book to anyone who likes PL Nunn's Bloodraven.
