I bought this book expecting a funny light read based on the word play with the title and the name of the author. I think it was a reasonable expectation.If you told me you were going to give me a piece of pie, then handed me a bag of Fritos, it wouldn't work out for you. I like Fritos ok, but I was expecting pie. What I got was dying and death (fat from the Fritos causing clogged arteries), an asshole abusive so-called Dom (Frito Bandito), uncomfortable parental relationships (my Mom would never give me Fritos when I was growing up) and a really unlikely HEA (pretend Fritos are broccoli).
What I paid for was pie (a continuation of the light play on words title and author name).
I really want to buy this book but I do not want to be forced to download a kindle ap just to buy it. Grr..
I don't know why I thought I wanted this-this is like Amy Lane on crack. Seriously. Plus, this author should have read all the complaints about the accents in Zero at the Bone.I was up for some character torture but not reader-torture.
Seriously, this will take you ten minutes to read. It's that short. Don't waste your $3. I didn't notice when I bought it (with the new release discount at least) that is was so short.
3.5I liked the environmental details and the yoga bit made me remember that I am a lazy butt and I got up and exercised.
